Sustainable promotional products that procurement teams approve

Recycled cotton, moulded pulp packaging and GRS certificates: what corporate procurement actually asks for in ESG-led gift briefs.

ESG language now appears in most corporate gift briefs, but procurement teams are increasingly sceptical of unverified claims. What they want is documentation.

For textiles, GRS or OCS transaction certificates tied to your specific order are the standard. A generic factory certificate is not the same thing, and a good supplier will explain the difference before you ask.

For packaging, moulded pulp inserts and FSC-certified rigid board replace EVA foam and plastic trays with no visual downgrade. In gift boxes, this is the single highest-impact swap available.

Finally, consider longevity as a sustainability argument. A stainless tumbler used for five years outperforms any single-use alternative, and that argument survives scrutiny far better than a recycled-content percentage.
